How can we help you?
We want you to be educated about the dental services and treatments we offer because the more information you have, the more proactive you will be about managing your own oral health. All your questions are important, and no question is ever too small.
We've answered a few of the questions we hear most often, but we encourage you to contact our office if the information you're looking for is not provided here.
We don't want financial considerations to stand in the way of getting the important dental treatment you need. We accept all major credit cards, and we're also pleased to help you apply for CareCredit, a healthcare credit card. CareCredit can be used for dentistry or any other health-related expenses.
How It Works
When figuring out how to pay for a more expensive procedure, it's important to evaluate your payment options. First, we recommend you get in touch with your insurance provider in addition to our office to make sure you are covered. Second, feel free to call our office or a CareCredit representative to learn more about this program and how it works in tandem with our dental office.

How We Can Help Your Child
Dr. Uhl and our team have the caring, gentle touch necessary to help your child learn that dental visits can be fun. We know that, as a parent, you are probably a little nervous about your child’s first visit with us.
There’s a lot for a young child to take in, and our goal is not to overwhelm them with any significant treatments until we’re sure they’re comfortable with us. We offer “happy visits,” where we just show them how much fun a trip to the dentist can be.
You should make the appointment for your child’s first visit as soon as their baby teeth start to emerge. Keeping your child’s baby teeth healthy is critical for the proper development of their permanent teeth.

Not sure what sealants are? Sealants are a great way to prevent cavities as your child's smile develops over time. Dental sealants are placed in the grooves of a child's tooth to help prevent tooth decay. Sealants prevent food from getting trapped in the grooves, thus preventing cavities from forming.
How Sealants Work
The process of placing sealants is pretty simple -- it's quick, painless and does not require any drilling or numbing. We highly recommend sealants be placed on all six-year and twelve-year molars.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact our Indianapolis dental office for more information. We work with family members of all ages, and look forward to helping your child build great oral health for a lifetime.
We recommend children come for their first dental visit once their first tooth appears. We encourage visits this early in order for children to get accustomed to our office and our staff. This appointment also allows us to talk with the child's parents or caretakers about the importance of good oral hygiene habits (including proper brushing technique and dietary suggestions).
Our Team Loves to Help
If your child does not cooperate like you would hope, don't worry! It often takes a couple of trips for children to feel comfortable in a dental office, and we totally understand that new things can sometimes be overwhelming.
We encourage you to call our office today to schedule a visit and we'll be happy to show your family around. We look forward to welcoming your family to our Indianapolis dental office!
Having your wisdom teeth (also known as third molars) removed is a decision that should be made after consulting with Dr. Uhl or an oral surgeon. Often times, there is not enough room in the mouth for the wisdom teeth to erupt into place. This condition is called "impaction". Impacted wisdom teeth could form cysts around them, potentially damaging neighboring teeth or the surrounding bone.
Why Wisdom Teeth Often Need Extracting
Wisdom teeth that partially erupt into the mouth could cause complications due to a greater chance of bacteria being trapped underneath the gums. This could lead to pain, swelling, or difficulty opening and closing the mouth.
Wisdom teeth that are fully erupted and exposed may not have to be removed. However, they are typically hard to reach with a toothbrush and floss, which puts them at a high risk for tooth decay or gum disease.
