Not sure what sealants are? Sealants are a great way to prevent cavities as your child's smile develops over time. Dental sealants are placed in the grooves of a child's tooth to help prevent tooth decay. Sealants prevent food from getting trapped in the grooves, thus preventing cavities from forming.
How Sealants Work
The process of placing sealants is pretty simple -- it's quick, painless and does not require any drilling or numbing. We highly recommend sealants be placed on all six-year and twelve-year molars.
